Following the close of our recently announced $100M Fund II, we’re looking to add two more members to our team as we continue our mission of supporting the most ambitious Canadian founders from coast-to-coast-to-coast.

Each of these individuals will play a critical role in Panache’s operations, interacting with founders, LPs, and others across the Canadian tech ecosystem. You’ll learn all about how the venture capital industry operates, while working closely alongside the entire Panache team.

And by learning, I mean to say that prior VC experience is not a requirement for either role.

Position #1: Marketing and Community Lead

We’re looking for a Marketing and Community Lead to spearhead Panache’s marketing, communications and community relations efforts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling all marketing communications with portfolio founders, LPs and the broader tech community

  • Managing our online presence, including our website, blogs, and social media

  • Overseeing logistics and communications for Panache Academy, our San Francisco-based virtual accelerator

  • Managing and cultivating our community of 200+ founders across Canada

  • Organizing and running in-person and online events

  • Ghostwriting all of Chris’ tweets

Position #2: Finance Manager

We’re also looking for a Finance Manager, since it turns out that making sure the numbers are correct is pretty important as a VC.

Your core responsibilities will span three key areas: financial management, portfolio support and investor relations, including:

  • Overseeing our bookkeeper and accounting administrators (this is not a bookkeeping role!)

  • Managing the fund’s budget and expense processes

  • Supervising portfolio reporting and generating/sharing insights on our financial, DEI and ESG performance

  • Compiling financial presentations and other communications for investors/LPs

  • Sourcing and managing finance tools and infrastructure

  • Tracking and maintaining key internal control policies and procedures

While prior VC experience is not a requirement for either role, ideal candidates will have had some exposure to the startup world, such as having previously worked at a startup or at an agency, consulting firm, etc. that services startups.
